Inter Milan boss Cristian Chivu and Napoli coach Antonio Conte will renew hostilities when the two sides face each other in mid-January.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, there’s a long-standing animosity between the two tacticians, adding extra edge to the upcoming clash.
Everything started last season when Cristian Chivu was still in charge of Parma.
Indeed, both managers were sent off during an ill-tempered contest at Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Parma held Napoli to a scoreless draw in the penultimate round of the 2024/25 campaign.
And it didn’t sit well with Antonio Conte, who tried to confront Chivu by the touchline, resulting in both managers’ dismissals.

Conte attempted to poke Chivu again after Napoli’s 2-0 win over Cremonese last weekend.
However, the Nerazzurri boss paid no attention to his Partenopei counterpart’s malicious provocation.
Instead, Chivu insisted he couldn’t care less about Conte’s words, putting a firm end to their off-field rivalry.
Yet, the simmering tension between the two is sure to add an extra layer of intensity when Inter and Napoli clash in mid-January.
