Inter Prepare Bumper Offer for Al-Ittihad Star Diaby | OneFootball

Inter are contuining to work on Moussa Diaby despite the challenges presented by the negotiation and being offered Nicolas Gonzalez. They haven’t pivoted toward alternative solutions for their right flank.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri will soon submit another offer. Their opening one amounted to €20M plus Kristjan Asllani, who will leave San Siro regardless. They face competition from Bayer Leverkusen, but the speedster hasn’t signed off on his return to Germany at this stage.

While Diaby has massive wages in the Saudi Pro League, he’d accept a high but more manageable €6M salary if he joined Inter. The officials aren’t concerned about his personal terms, but they need to find common ground with Al-Ittihad, which spent €60M to nab him in July 2024. He’s under contract until 2030 and pockets €10M net annually.

The Serie A winners had some contacts for the Juventus outcast, but he’s not a priority for them. They could take a flyer later in the summer if they don’t land their main targets.

Per Mediaset, the offer from Bayer Leverkusen is in the same ballpark as the Nerazzurri, €30M. The same goes for his salary. The winger might have to choose between comparable proposals at some point.

We’ll see how high they can go since, after missing out on Marco Palestra, they have been unwilling to tender giant fees for anybody. Plus, they are already close to their limit salary-wise, especially for newcomers. He’s in his prime rather than a spring chicken, and their ownership is often against spending too much on personal terms or for players with limited upside.
