After selling Ebeneezer Akinsanmiro to Monza, Inter are revitalising their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones with fresh talks and an improved €35m offer ready.

The Nerazzurri are looking to the Premier League for reinforcements this summer after securing the Scudetto and Coppa Italia Double.

They already snapped up free agent John Stones from Manchester City, and are in advanced talks with Tottenham Hotspur for Cristian Romero at €40m.

Inter focus turns to Jones

Their next target is Jones, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, which is why Inter hope Liverpool will lower the €40m asking price.

Several previous proposals have been rejected, but multiple sources including the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, Guardian and more maintain that a new and improved bid of €35m is on its way.

There were also rumours that Inter intermediaries were already in Liverpool over the last couple of days for negotiations.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri need to make sales, and completed one today with midfielder Akinsanmiro sold to Monza.

That deal is believed to be worth €7.5m plus a 10 per cent cut of the future sale fee.

He spent last season on loan at Pisa.
