Inter have reached an agreement to sign Argentinean defender Tomas Palacios, and according to Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri hope to sell Joaquin Correa.
Inter are ready to welcome Argentinean defender Palacios. Gazzetta and Sky Sport Italia claim that the Nerazzurri have reached an agreement to sign the 21-year-old for €6.5m, including bonuses.
Palacios will be used as a backup for Italy international Alessandro Bastoni, so Carlos Augusto will replace Federico Dimarco on the left flank when the Azzurri defender needs to rest.
According to Gazzetta, Palacios is only waiting for the green light to travel to Milan to undergo medical tests with the Nerazzurri.
The pink paper claims that Palacios could even arrive in Italy tomorrow.
Palacios is under contract with Talleres but is currently on loan at Independiente Rivadavia. The Argentinean defender was not involved in Friday’s 2-0 loss against Platense.
According to Gazzetta, Inter will now try to sell Argentinean striker Correa, who is expected to be left out of the Nerazzurri’s Champions League list following Palacios’ purchase.
