As reported by the Italian journalist on Caught Offside, Inter’s interest in the 29-year-old is not entirely surprising given that the Nerazzurri had already been offered the ex-Real Madrid star in the 2025 January transfer window.

Asensio has returned to PSG after a six-month loan spell at Aston Villa, but he’s not part of Luis Enrique’s plans in Paris.

Inter are looking for a player with similar skill sets, but have also targeted more expensive attacking midfielders.

Asensio is open to moving to San Siro, although personal terms have yet to be discussed.

His possible move to Inter is a scenario that must be closely followed in the coming days, according to Pedullà.
