More reports are coming in that Inter will sign Tanner Tessmann from Venezia, but leave the USMNT midfielder on loan, with Gaetano Oristanio as part of the deal.

Nerazzurri chief Beppe Marotta said that there would probably be no more new signings this summer and he was not entirely incorrect, because Tessmann is not going to be part of the squad until June 2025.

According to Sky Sport Italia expert Gianluca Di Marzio and transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, the plan is to buy the American now and leave him on loan at Venezia for one more season.

This allows him to gain more top flight experience, as Venezia have just been promoted to Serie A via the play-offs.

Tessmann joined Venezia in 2021

Tessmann turns 23 in September and has been on the Laguna since a €3.65m move from FC Dallas in the summer of 2021.

In order to lower the cost of the operation, Inter will send midfielder Oristanio to Venezia as part of the deal.

They could try to retain a buy-back clause on the Italy Under-21 international, who just completed a loan spell with Cagliari.
