Internacional host Remo in the Brasileirão on Monday, 17 August 2026 at Estádio José Pinheiro Borda, with both in the relegation zone and desperate for points.
Internacional are 17th on 23 points, with Remo 18th on 22. The reverse league meeting finished level in February.
Inter are winless in five league games, drawing with Flamengo and Palmeiras after three defeats. Leão Azul have two wins in their last five in the league and drew 2-2 with Atlético Mineiro last time out.
Colorado are without injured Sergio Rochet, Thiago Maia, Rodrigo Villagra, Kayky, João Victor and Benjamin Arhin, and defender Victor Gabriel is suspended. For Leão Azul, Duplexe Tchamba is sidelined.
Inter average one goal per game this season and have five clean sheets but only one headed goal, with open play cross accuracy at 14.64%. Johan Carbonero features on the scorers list with five league goals and could carry their threat. Leão Azul have scored 26 and conceded 36 in 22 league matches, so their back line may be tested if Inter raise the tempo in Porto Alegre.
A home win would move Inter to 26 points and could lift them out of the bottom four. Victory for Leão Azul would take them above Inter and shorten the path towards safety, while a draw would risk leaving both still stuck in the drop zone.
