Internacional host São Paulo in the Brasileirão on Wednesday, 1 April 2026 at Estádio José Pinheiro Borda, with the visitors third on 16 points and the hosts 12th on eight as both target early-season position and momentum.
Internacional and São Paulo meet after a one-sided 2025 head-to-head. São Paulo won both league fixtures, including a 2-1 victory in Porto Alegre and a 3-0 win at home.
Inter arrive with back-to-back league wins over Santos and Chapecoense after successive defeats, steadying their form with two victories in their last five. Tricolor Paulista have two wins from five but travel on consecutive losses to Atlético Mineiro and Palmeiras.
Colorado are without Vitinho through suspension. Soberano are missing Lucas Moura through injury and Enzo Diaz via suspension, while Alan Javier Franco is also sidelined alongside forwards Paulo Sérgio and Ryan Francisco.
Inter have scored seven times in eight league games, with only three at home from four matches. Tricolor Paulista have conceded five across the campaign and have taken seven away points from four, so the visitors' compact defence could test the hosts' cutting edge. Colorado may need to raise their home threat, while Soberano could look to manage territory and strike when chances appear.
A home win would move Inter to 11 points and could lift them towards the top half and closer to the Sudamericana places. An away victory would take Tricolor Paulista to 19 points and strengthen their grip on the Libertadores spots near the summit.
