Malick Thiaw and Nick Woltemade
The Magpies pair have both been named in the Germany squad ahead of two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Slovakia.
Thiaw, capped three times by his country at senior level, has been rewarded with a recall to his national team following a series of impressive displays for Eddie Howe's side as the Düsseldorf-born centre-back targets a first international outing since October 2023.
Woltemade, who has scored six times for the Magpies in all competitions so far this season, netted his first senior international goal during Germany's 1-0 away win against Northern Ireland last month.
Julian Nagelsmann's side face Luxembourg on Saturday, 14th November at the Stade de Luxembourg before hosting Slovakia three days later at the Red Bull Arena, home of RB Leipzig. Both games are scheduled to take place at 7.45pm [GMT].
Bruno Guimarães
The Magpies captain has been named in Brazil's 26-man squad ahead of two friendlies against Senegal and Tunisia later this month.
The central midfielder, who was nominated for the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Month award for October, featured in friendlies against South Korea and Japan last month and will aim to add to his tally of 39 caps as the five-time world champions contest two matches in Europe.
Brazil take on Senegal at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 15th November (kick-off 4pm GMT) before facing Tunisia in France three days later, with the friendly taking place at Lille’s Stade Pierre-Mauroy (kick-off 7:30pm GMT).
Alex Murphy
The Galway-born defender has been included in the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad ahead of two 2027 EURO Under-21 qualifiers against England and Andorra.
The 21-year-old will be aiming to add to his nine caps accrued at under-21 level when the Boys in Green face England at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park, home of Birmingham City, on Friday, 14th November [kick-off 7.45pm GMT] before taking on Andorra at the Estadi Nacional on Tuesday, 18th November [kick-off 6.30pm GMT].
