  1. Alexander Schlager kept a clean sheet in his 45 minutes of playing time for the Austrian national team in their 5-1 friendly win against Ghana. He was on the bench for the friendly against South Korea (1-0 for Austria).
  2. Jannik Schuster shone as the match-winner in his U21 European Championship qualifier, heading home the winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time to secure victory against Belarus and keep Austria's hopes of qualifying for the European Championship alive. He had already played the full 90 minutes in the 0-1 defeat against Belgium. Tim Trummer played the entire match against Belgium, but didn't see any action against Belarus
  3. The Austrian U19 national team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the European Championships! With Christian Zawieschitzky in goal, they suffered a 2-3 defeat in the decisive match against Germany. Prior to that, they had drawn 1-1 against Greece and won 3-0 against a young Swedish team.

  • Kerim Alajbegovic became a national hero for Bosnia in World Cup qualification. In the semi-final against Wales, the 18-year-old set up Dzeko's equalising goal before scoring the decisive penalty in the shootout. In the decisive match against Italy, the attacking midfielder came off the bench at half-time, before the game went to penalties again after extra time. Kerim once again scored from the spot, and Bosnia secured their place at the World Cup shortly afterward!
  • Clement Bischoff scored a goal in Denmark's 4-0 win over Wales in an U21 European Championship qualifier. With the win, Denmark (five matches played) are level on points with Austria (six matches) and Belgium (five matches).
