Simone Inzaghi feels that Inter Milan are a “team with a capital T” after their Champions League triumph over Feyenoord.

The Nerazzurri coach gave his thoughts in a press conference after yesterday’s round of sixteen second leg win, as reported by FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri have overcome Dutch side Feyenoord to book their place in the next round. There, they will face German giants Bayern Munich.

This is the fourth season in a row that Inter are in the knockout stages of Europe’s top club competition.

And the Nerazzurri have already made it further than last season, where they suffered a disappointing elimination on penalties against Atletico Madrid.

Therefore, there will be dreams of another run to the final like in the 2022-23 season. And maybe even going one better.

Meanwhile, in Serie A Inter have a fierce title race on their hands. They face major Scudetto rivals Atalanta this weekend, having drawn against Napoli at the start of the month.

Inzaghi Declares Inter Milan A “Team With A Capital T”

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi declared that “Clearly I’m very happy” after yesterday’s win.

“Reaching the quarterfinals means something important,” he said.

“I have to say thank you to the guys. I congratulate them, because I don’t hear enough positive things said about them.”

“So I do so publicly,” the Inter coach said of his players.

“Our fans give us so much love, and that’s enough for us,” added Inzaghi. “But I’d like to hear even more – because we’re doing brilliantly, and nothing can be taken for granted in football.”

Inter Milan coach Inzaghi noted that “it’s true that we have different numbers in the Champions League.”

“We’ve conceded fewer goals. But we’ve also scored fewer.”

“We’re still in the hunt in all fronts,” the Nerazzurri coach made clear. “We’re happy to be at Inter, with a magical atmosphere here at the San Siro.”

Simone Inzaghi then added that he is “proud” and a “happy coach, because I see that my team never give up.”

“When there are difficulties, and we’ve had quite a few over the last month, we’ve helped each other out. We’re a team with a capital T.”

“Now we’ll have two more huge months,” Inzaghi said. “We know what it means to play every 72 hours.”

“But we’re extremely enthusiastic to do so.”

“Now we have one more match before the last international break of the season,” the Inter coach noted. The Nerazzurri take on Serie A title rivals Atalanta on Sunday.

“We’ll play that match at our best, against an absolutely top-class opponent.”
