As Barcelona and Inter Milan get set to go head-to-head in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final tomorrow, the Nerazzurri boss spoke highly of his Barça counterpart Hansi Flick as well as teenage prodigy Lamine Yamal.
Inzaghi, who has taken Inter to great heights in recent years, praised the youth in the Barça squad and Flick’s role in developing it.
“It is a team that has been very well built in recent years. It is not just Lamine Yamal, it is all of them. Flick is making his players play very well,” he said.
On the La Masia sensation, he commented: “Lamine is a unique talent at this moment in the world, both individually and for the team.”
Continuing, Inzaghi added: “We know Barcelona very well. Flick is a great coach, with very good players in every area. We have a lot of respect, they are great opponents.”
Even though Inter will be facing the highest-scoring team in Europe, Inzaghi repeated what he said at the weekend, insisting that his team are not afraid.
“There is respect but no fear,” he noted.

The Inter manager said his players must move on from their recent poor form, with the team having lost three games in a row.
“We have to forget the last week. We have done extraordinary things that must not be tainted by this week,” he said, adding that they have reviewed the recent matches in detail, “and we have seen the mistakes.”
Inzaghi downplayed the idea of a big gap between the two clubs, as he said: “There is none. We are the best four teams in Europe.
“Right now we are coming off a bad week and Barça just won the Copa del Rey, and although these are different situations, we are prepared.”
Inzaghi, who declined to comment on Marcus Thuram’s condition, highlighted Barcelona’s aggressive style.
“They play offensively in the opponent’s half. We will have to defend a lot,” he stated.
