Lazio face mounting competition for Fluminense forward John Kennedy as interest grows across Europe.

According to Sky Sport, the 24-year-old has admirers at Porto, long-time recruiters of Brazilian talent, plus FC Koln and Ipswich Town, promoted to the Premier League last season.

The Rome club have made Kennedy their top attacking target after looking at Roberto Piccoli and Andrea Pinamonti, then switching focus to the Brazilian.

Lazio have offered €8 million, short of Fluminense’s €12 million valuation. A compromise around the midpoint has been mooted, but the club may need to move quickly as rivals circle.

At 173 cm, Kennedy is a lively centre-forward who relies on sharp movement and bursts in the box. He has 37 goals and nine assists in 168 outings for Fluminense, and his contract runs to December 2027.
