Ipswich Town fight back late to move to second

Southampton 2-2 Ipswich Town at St Mary's, with the visitors rising from third to second and the hosts slipping from fourth to fifth in the Championship.

After the restart, Wesley Burns put the Tractor Boys ahead in the 48th minute, sliding in from Ivan Azon Monzon's pass.

Substitute Jack Clarke equalised late with a neat finish (87.). Moments later he struck the post (89.), and the Saints' goalkeeper tipped away his rising effort in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.

The Tractor Boys registered 19 attempts with nine on target and forced 11 corners. The Saints produced 18 attempts, testing the goalkeeper four times.
