FLW's Ipswich Town fan pundit has had his say on Besiktas and the final week of the window for winger Jaden Philogene.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
Ipswich Town's Jaden Philogene is one of a number of excellent wide forwards at Championship level, with Kieran McKenna able to call upon many of them for the Tractor Boys.
Wes Burns has returned to fitness and already found some form, Jack Clarke has been outstanding, Kasey McAteer is the forgotten man, Sindre Walle Egeli has grown into the season, and Anis Mehmeti is the latest to bolster that area.
It begs the question of whether a sale for one could be a temptation for Ipswich this month, with the transfer deadline now fast approaching. It's the area of the squad with the most depth and quality.
No other Championship side can compete with them in that regard, but star man Philogene has been the subject of interest from Premier League side Bournemouth to potentially replace the recently departed Antoine Semenyo.
However, they are not the only top flight side. Former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was interested in a deal for the Championship player in the summer, but he has since been sacked by Besiktas.

Besiktas have been told Philogene will cost £26 million by Ipswich, with the Turkish side reportedly put off by the asking price, and will not be pursuing a deal unless that figure is lowered. Ipswich are adamant about retaining Philogene in January now.
However, we asked Football League World's Ipswich fan pundit Adam for his view of the situation and whether Philogene would even take that move, should Ipswich receive a bid in the final week of the window for his services from the Turkish giants.
He said: "For me, there is absolutely nothing in this. I can't see him leaving Ipswich Town this season, particularly with him being injured and there not being much of the transfer window to go.
"I can't see Ipswich accepting anywhere near £26 million at all. And, yeah, I don't think Turkey is a good move for him. Besiktas are a big team and they do have European football.
"But not many players have gone over to Turkey and used that as a springboard for a big move.
"I think Philogene will move on to bigger and better things, at some point. I think staying and having an excellent season — or continuing his excellent season in the Championship with Ipswich — is a far better career move for him right now.
"So, yeah, nothing in that one for me."

The reality is that Philogene could be the player to fire Town back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, but they could also be promoted without him now that they have serious quality behind him in wide areas.
That said, the quality of Philogene is without question at this level and he may well be the best wide forward in the entire division. His numbers suggest that is the case, with very few able to match his recent records.
Ipswich could also have a vastly more expensive asset in just five months, should they secure promotion back to the Premier League. The opposite could be true if they fail to do so, however.
He could, and perhaps should, also be a better player in the Premier League than the one he was when he last played in it.
