Ipswich Town sign Julio Enciso for €30m, long-time Valencia target | OneFootball

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Paraguayan Julio Enciso for €30m, according to Superdeporte.

The Premier League club are investing to strengthen and have moved to bring back a player they previously had after a season with Strasbourg.

Valencia pursued Enciso in the 2025 winter window as they sought to repair the worst first half of a season in their history. At that stage he was at Brighton and viewed as the prime target to lift their attacking midfield line.

Instead, he joined Ipswich, then switched to Strasbourg in the summer, a move facilitated by belonging to the same business group as Chelsea.

Enciso impressed at the last World Cup with Paraguay, reinforcing the sense he can be an important figure in a league of English standard.

Ipswich know him well and have brought him back with a view to making him central to their Premier League project.
