The Tractor Girls announced the news via a post on their official club website just a short time ago.
The 26-year-old joins Ipswich Town after recently leaving Italian Serie A Women Athora club SS Lazio. Ashworth-Clifford spent the first half of this season in Italy.
Ashworth-Clifford has built plenty of Barclays WSL2 experience from her time with former club Lewes. She has also played her football north of the border with Glasgow giants Celtic.
After joining Ipswich Town, Ashworth-Clifford said “The girls have been really welcoming, the staff have been brilliant and the facilities here look amazing too.
“I would describe myself as a forward-thinking, direct winger who has a good eye for goal.
“I’ve played in the second tier before for Lewes and I know it’s improved a lot since I was last involved in it. It’s a really exciting league to play in and I’m looking forward to getting started with the rest of the group now.”
The winger could make her Ipswich Town debut on Sunday when the club host Bristol City in Barclays WSL2. She is the club’s second January transfer window signing.
