Reds eyeing first win of Premier League season

Liverpool travel to Ipswich Town this evening still in search of their first win under Andoni Iraola. The Basque boss has come in from Bournemouth to replace Arne Slot, who was sacked earlier in the summer despite finishing fourth in the Premier League. In his first two top-flight outings so far, Iraola has overseen two 2-2 draws, at Newcastle United and at home with Nottingham Forest respectively.

Now, his side make the trip to Portman Road to take on the league’s new boys, who are back after a term away. Gary O’Neil’s Tractor Boys are one win from two so far, having beaten Sunderland on their return, but they were defeated 5-2 by Manchester United last time out.

Today could see a debut for Liverpool’s big-money summer signing Bradley Barcola, who arrived from Paris Saint-Germain to some fanfare earlier this week for £123million.
