A man who ran an IPTV network was last Thursday sentenced by the Spanish courts to 23 months in prison and a fine of 8.6 million euros after an investigation opened eight years ago, The New York Times reports.
Known as Dash, the Iranian, he illegally provided access to sports events to 2 million people, including via the IPTVStack and RapidIPTV platforms.
Income from unauthorised streams of Premier League and Champions League matches generated several million euros and financed property investments.
