Striker Mehdi Taremi wants to stay at Inter Milan this summer, or otherwise join another club in Serie A.
This according to Iranian football journalist Hatam Shiralizadeh, a reporter with Tasnim Sports. He reports in a tweet that the 32-year-old former Porto striker doesn’t want to take a big step down at the end of the season.
Striker Mehdi Taremi joined Inter Milan last summer. He arrived on a free transfer from Porto.
There were significant expectations around Taremi when he signed.

However, to date the Iranian international has not really lived up to them.
Injury woes have played a big role in this failure to really launch.
The former Porto striker admitted that he has been dealing with physical issues for months, and they have curtailed his form.
The issue has been a groin injury called pubalgia.
In any event, Taremi is once again on the sidelines. He has not featured for Inter since the return from the international break, owing to a thigh strain.
And Taremi won’t likely return until close to the end of April.

The lack of form from Mehdi Taremi has already raised doubts about his place at Inter. His time at the San Siro could very well be up after just a single season.
However, Taremi himself hopes that is not the case, according to Iranian reporter Hatam Shiralizadeh.
Shiralizadeh anticipates that Taremi has no intention of leaving Inter this summer.
And if the Iranian international is to leave the Nerazzurri, he would not want it to be to a club in a lesser league.
Rather, Taremi would be hoping to join a different club in Serie A, reports Shiralizadeh.
