Rumors surrounding Michael Olise and Real Madrid are gaining new momentum. Following recent conflicting reports about the Bayern star’s future, the French sports newspaper L’Équipe has now added further details to the story.
Following his strong season with FC Bayern and impressive performances at the World Cup, Michael Olise is among the most sought-after attacking players in Europe. For weeks, the French national team player has been linked to a move to Real Madrid.
Now, the French publication L’Équipe reports that Olise has long since stopped hiding his desire to leave in private circles. According to the report, the 24-year-old has told several teammates on the French national team that he wants to play for Los Blancos.
Particularly interesting: According to L’Équipe, Bayern teammate Dayot Upamecano is reportedly working hard to convince Olise to stay in Munich. The center back has tried to change his national teammate’s mind—but without success.
According to the report, after two successful years at FC Bayern, Olise feels the time is right to take the next step in his career. His main goal is Real Madrid, the club he privately refers to as the greatest in the world.
In addition, the attacking player is said to have already spoken with French national team players Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni to learn more about the environment at Real Madrid.

According to information from L’Équipe, Real Madrid is aware of Olise’s desire to leave and could take concrete steps after the World Cup concludes.
However, the club’s stance remains unchanged. Bayern does not want to let go of its star attacker and is currently showing no willingness to negotiate.
Most recently, Sky also refuted reports of an impending transfer. According to the pay-TV network, Olise has not informed FC Bayern of any intention to leave. The Frenchman has reportedly signaled to club officials that he intends to wear the record champion’s jersey again next season.
According to Sky, however, this is merely a snapshot of the current situation. How long this will last remains to be seen. According to consistent media reports, further talks between the club and the player are expected following Olise’s return to Munich.
This means there are currently two completely different accounts of the situation. While L’Équipe reports a clear desire to leave, information from Germany shows no signs of an imminent departure for the 24-year-old.
