Real Madrid isn’t giving up on signing Michael Olise. According to a report from Spain, the Bayern star’s future could ultimately depend on one person above all else: the player himself.
Speculation surrounding Michael Olise and Real Madrid continues to gain momentum. Although FC Bayern still considers the French national team player “not for sale” internally, Spanish media are now reporting a possible twist in the transfer saga.
As reported by AS, Real Madrid continues to work intensively behind the scenes to sign the 24-year-old. According to the report, initial steps have already been taken to explore the terms of a potential transfer.
While Bayern has not changed its position so far, the report suggests that the situation could become significantly more complicated if Olise himself were to clearly decide in favor of a move to Madrid.
According to the Spanish sports newspaper, the message from Munich remains unchanged. FC Bayern still considers Olise unsellable and wants to keep the attacking star for the long term.
At the same time, however, it is said that club officials are aware of the realities of the transfer market. Should Olise clearly express his preference for Real Madrid, the report states that Bayern would inevitably have to enter into talks.
AS even reports that the decision may now largely rest with the player himself. Only if Olise were to finally agree to a move would the situation change for all parties involved.
In Madrid, the Frenchman continues to be considered a top transfer target. Following his outstanding season with FC Bayern and his strong performances at the World Cup, the Royals see him as a potential new Galáctico.
It had recently been reported that Real Madrid might be willing to invest significantly more than 150 million euros for Olise. Now, there is renewed speculation about sums exceeding the 200-million-euro mark.

According to AS, a potential offer could even surpass the previous world-record transfer fee paid for Neymar. As is well known, Paris Saint-Germain paid 222 million euros to FC Barcelona for the Brazilian in 2017.
At FC Bayern, however, there are so far no signs of a change of heart. The Munich club is planning for the long term with Olise and, according to recent reports, even wants to extend his contract—which runs through 2029—early.
It was recently reported that club officials could make the Frenchman one of the team’s top earners in the future. This is intended to send a clear signal that Olise plays a central role in the record champion’s future plans.
