Sunderland goalkeeper Isaac Allan is nearing a loan return to Hebburn Town after starring in their title-winning campaign.

According to Sunderland Echo, the clubs are in talks over a fresh temporary move for the former Lincoln City youngster.

Allan played a key role as Hebburn won the Northern Premier League and secured promotion to National League North, gaining valuable senior experience.

A reunion would allow him to continue his development at a higher level in a familiar environment where he has already established himself. Hebburn, preparing for National League North football, are keen to bring him back for the new season.

The arrangement would also suit Sunderland, with regular competitive minutes seen as crucial for young goalkeepers. Allan could train during the week within the club’s academy while testing himself consistently in senior football. No deal is yet in place, but a second spell at Hebburn is being discussed. He joined Sunderland after leaving Lincoln City and remains highly regarded at the Academy of Light.
