According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica are among the clubs to have watched Isac Lidberg, with Darmstadt thought to seek around €five million for the Swedish striker as interest grows across Europe.
The 27-year-old has been likened to Viktor Gyokeres after impressing in Bundesliga 2, and the Rui Costa-led club are among the suitors.
Clubs from Germany’s top tier are tracking him, while Lyon have reportedly sent scouts to assess the forward.
There has been no confirmation of any contact from Benfica. Meanwhile, reports in Poland have suggested the Lisbon club are unwilling to pay about €10 million to Zaglebie Lubin for 19-year-old Marcel Regula.
This season Lidberg has made 30 appearances for Darmstadt, 27 in the Bundesliga 2 and three in the DFB-Pokal, scoring 15 goals with three assists in 2,496 minutes. He is under contract until summer 2027.
