The clearout looks set to continue at Olympique de Marseille as new manager Roberto De Zerbi looks to construct a squad in his image.

Iliman Ndiaye has already left the club, joining Everton just one year after his big-money arrival from Sheffield United. Vitinha has also left, making his loan move to Serie A side Genoa permanent, and Pape Gueye has left on a free transfer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, so prolific in his one and only season at Marseille, also looks set to depart, even if OM had hoped to retain the Gabonese forward.

9 players transfer listed by Marseille

Other players, many in fact, could follow. With just one year remaining on his deal, it is no secret that Les Phocéens are looking to sell Jonathan Clauss this summer. It was revealed by RMC Sport last week that Jordan Veretout, Samuel Gigot, Chancel Mbemba and Pau Lopez had all been frozen out in a move to force a departure.

The list of players on the transfer window has grown further, as per L’Équipe. Geoffrey Kondogbia, Ismaïla Sarr, and Ulisses Garcia, all of whom joined Marseille last summer, however, both have been placed on the transfer list, along with Azzedine Ounahi, who following his breakout tournament during the 2022 World Cup, has failed to establish himself at OM.

Marseille have therefore made nine players available for transfer as they look to raise funds to fund the squad overhaul that De Zerbi desires.
