Istanbul Basaksehir winger Deniz Turuc insists the small details cost them in defeat at Manchester United.
United struck early and ranout comfortable 4-1 winners in last night's Champions League clash.
But Turuc argued: "We knew it would be a difficult match. You are playing against Manchester United. There are some unavoidable difficulties. Actually, if we played our own game a little more in the first half, if we played it willingly, it would be different.
"If we came in with 2-0 and was 2-1 after my goal, we could've earned a point if we were lucky. The game in the second half gives us self-confidence. Of course we are sorry but we have to continue working.
"We're trying to be the pride of Turkey. We did not come here and shut down. Leipzig, Paris, we played well against United. We are not afraid of anyone."
