It looks like Bayern Munich could have another young star on their hands.
Tiago Dantas joined the Bavarian side over the summer, on an initial season-long loan from Benfica with an option to buy in 12 months.
On the evidence available from this weekend, that option is going to be taken up really rather quickly.
Dantas made his debut for Bayern Munich II against Kaiserslautern on Sunday, and had coaches gushing over his performance.
“He played a really inspiring game,” said manager Holger Seitz.
“He always thinks offensively and vertically, you can see the Portuguese mentality. We will have a lot of fun with him.”
A diminutive midfielder, Dantas has already been compared to Thiago Alcantara and will surely be in line for a first team place in the coming months.
