Adrien Rabiot (30) will make his return to Juventus on Sunday evening (20:45 CET) when AC Milan travel to Turin for the standout fixture of Serie A’s sixth matchday. Sixteen months after leaving the Bianconeri — and just two months on from the altercation with teammate Rowe that ended his Marseille spell — the France international is once again thriving in Italy. When Rabiot’s time at Olympique de Marseille abruptly ended in late August, there was only one man he turned to: Massimiliano Allegri. The pair had maintained a close relationship since their Juventus days, with Rabiot often describing the coach as a “father figure.” Newly appointed at Milan, Allegri personally pushed to secure Rabiot’s transfer — a €7 million deal sealed just before the close of the summer window. The move has paid off immediately. With Rabiot in midfield alongside Luka Modrić, Milan have strung together four consecutive league wins, conceding only once in that span.“I knew the staff and the coach well, so integration was easy,” said Rabiot at a press conference transcribed by RMC Sport. “I came with humility, to set an example and pull the team forward. It’ll be emotional to return to Juventus — I spent five very good years there.”Between 2019 and 2024, Rabiot made 157 Serie A appearances (18 goals) for Juventus, becoming one of the club’s captains in his final season. Despite winning only a single Coppa Italia (2024), the Frenchman stood out uring a turbulent financial period that saw Juve briefly excluded from European competition.GFFN | George Boxall
