Serie A giants Napoli are looking to bring an attacker in January and they have set their sights on one of Aston Villa’s stars.
The Villans made a fantastic start to their current campaign domestically and in the Champions League simultaneously.
In recent weeks, however, Unai Emery’s side have seen a significant drop in results and they are currently seventh in the Premier League table.
The winter transfer window is set to open in a fortnight’s time and some of the Aston Villa players are attracting interest from other clubs.
This season’s Serie A title challengers Napoli are keen on adding an attacker next month and one Aston Villa star is on their radar.
According to Italian daily Il Mattino (via Area Napoli), 21-year-old Jhon Duran is on Napoli’s wish list and is favoured by sporting director Giovanni Manna.
Duran was in heavy demand in the summer transfer window and he is again attracting interest ahead of the January transfer window.
West Ham United made him a key target and held talks with Aston Villa.
Duran was keen on the switch to the London Stadium, but no fee could be agreed and West Ham signed Niclas Fullkrug.
Colombia striker Duran has already bagged eleven goals this season and Napoli may find it hard to snap him up.
