Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin is adamant Inter Milan have no interest in selling Alessandro Bastoni this summer despite recent reports suggesting otherwise.

In his latest TMW column, Biasin took stock of the 26-year-old’s uncertain future at San Siro, as reported by FCInter1908.

Alessandro Bastoni has been Inter’s defensive mainstay for almost a decade.

Indeed, the former Atalanta man has won two Serie A titles with the Nerazzurri since joining the club in 2017.

Nothing has changed this season, as new boss Cristian Chivu views Bastoni as the cornerstone of his backline.

However, Bastoni has fallen out of favor with Serie A fans following his antics in last month’s Derby d’Italia against Juventus.

Therefore, he’s reportedly considering a summer departure, with Inter already slapping a €50 million price tag on his shoulders.

Meanwhile, Barcelona and Manchester United have emerged as potential suitors.

Los Blaugranas’ interest in Bastoni is long-standing, but they lack finances to complete his signing.

Inter Milan Have No Interest in Selling Alessandro Bastoni

Biasin is confident Inter will do everything to keep Bastoni at San Siro beyond the summer amid Barcelona’s growing interest.

Furthermore, he believes that they would never accept a €50 million offer for their star defender.

Instead, he insists it will take a much bigger figure to even get Inter to consider letting Bastoni leave.

“It’s being rumored and reported that Inter might consider selling Alessandro Bastoni for €50 million, a figure lower than what they received for Onana’s transfer,” Biasin wrote.

“No, Inter is not thinking about selling Bastoni; their focus is solely on a goal not yet achieved called the ‘Scudetto.’ And they want to keep Bastoni.”

However, Biasin thinks Inter could change their mind if Bastoni asks for a sale.

“Unless the player decides to move on and a club comes along willing to offer an absurd amount.”
