Italian journalist Riccardo Trevisani has waxed lyrical about resurgent Inter Milan midfielder Andy Diouf.
During the latest episode of the Trevi Fountain via FCInter1908, Trevisani discussed the Frenchman’s sudden rise at San Siro.
Despite joining the club for €25 million in August, the 22-year-old had endured a rough start to life in Serie A.
Indeed, the former Lens star made just two cameo appearances in the opening 11 league rounds.
However, he has recently shown signs of resurgence.
Though Diouf has accumulated just 65 minutes in Serie A, his recent performances have encouraged the Nerazzurri faithful.
Furthermore, he has impressed on the right wing in Denzel Dumfries’ absence.
Therefore, Cristian Chivu is now considering benching Luis Henrique in favor of the French ace.
Unlike Diouf, the Brazilian continues to disappoint, as most recently witnessed by his disjointed showing against Bologna.

Diouf’s ball-carrying ability and directness have impressed Trevisani.
“I’m in love with Diouf,” he said. “Whether watching him live or on TV makes little difference.
“He’s a player with personality, always wants the ball, always tries to make a play, has a very good left foot, and was already a good player at Lens.
“In Italy, as often happens, he was dismissed because of a horrible challenge after coming on during a match.
“However, he’s a good player, and you’ll see he’ll find a way to get on the field.”
Meanwhile, Trevisani slammed Henrique.
“Inter made only one wrong signing, and I’ve been saying it since August, not after seeing him play,” he added. “Luis Henrique.
“He isn’t worth €25 million, not even in six lifetimes, just like Lang.
“He will end up losing his place between Carlos Augusto, who is left-footed, and Diouf, who isn’t a winger.
“He’s a fast player with decent technique and average quality, but he can serve as a backup’s backup or as a third winger at Inter.”
