Inter Milan starlet Francesco Pio Esposito found the opening goal in last night’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash between Italy and Norway.

According to FCInterNews, the 20-year-old striker impressed despite the Azzurri’s disastrous defeat, netting his first goal at San Siro.

Despite taking a halftime lead, Gennaro Gattuso’s side slumped to a disastrous 4-1 home defeat to the Norwegians.

As a result, Italy will seek a place at next summer’s tournament through the dreaded qualification playoffs.

Francesco Pio Esposito enjoyed a dream international break.

After scoring a crucial opener in Italy’s late 2-0 win at Moldova, the young center-forward scored another goal for his country.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri rising star broke the deadlock in Italy’s dismal loss to Norway.
