Inter Milan have been dealing with a full-blown injury crisis in the last couple weeks.

Rather than the number of injuries, the problem has been how they’ve targeted one position.

That has left Inter with literally no senior player available who can cover at left-wingback.

Therefore, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has had to improvise. Italian international Alessandro Bastoni shifted into the role as an emergency solution against Feyenoord in midweek.

The injury crisis is now starting to ease up a bit. Brazilian international Carlos Augusto is once again available, having recovered from a nasty calf knock.

However, reports the Gazzetta, Augusto will not come straight back into the starting eleven.

Rather, the newspaper anticipate, the former Monza wingback will only be on the bench to start this evening’s Serie A clash with Monza.

Therefore, Bastoni will reprise his role from the midweek Champions League win over Feyenoord.

The 25-year-old had functioned reasonably well there despite playing out of position.

However, Augusto will be available to come on as a substitute as the match wears on.
