Italy U20 coach Bernardo Corradi is delighted with Leonardo Bonucci’s impact as his assistant coach as players appreciate the ex-defender’s ‘humility and availability.’
Bonucci was appointed as Italy U20 assistant last month.
“Regardless of his technical and tactical competence, the lads have appreciated his humility and availability towards everyone,” Italy U20 coach Corradi, a former Serie A star, told the official FIGC website.

“He’s been great because he entered quietly despite a massive experience and background.”
Bonucci sang in front of the team as part of his initiation last week, pleasing Corradi.
“He took his shoes off and stood up in a chair,” concluded the ex-striker.
“It seems a little thing, but you must care about the details to reach certain levels. That gesture may seem tiny, but it gives an idea of attention to the rules.”
