The midfielder moved to Stamford Bridge from Inter in 2022 in a deal worth nearly €20m.

He spent the first part of 2023-24 on loan at Leicester City before returning to London for the second part of the campaign.

Inter-news reports that the Blues are now open to listening to offers for the 21-year-old despite the reunion with Enzo Maresca, his former coach at Leicester City.

Talking about the Italian midfielder’s future on Radio Sportiva, Graziani said he hoped Casadei would return to Serie A soon.

“Chelsea signed him because of his potential, thinking that they’d make a bargain for that fee, but it was not the case,” said the former Serie A star.

“I am sorry for the lad because when you leave Italy at such a young age, you often don’t have the courage to face certain situations. I hope he returns to Serie A and that some Italian clubs will be interested in him. He will develop much more here than at other European clubs.”

Casadei has made 11 appearances with Chelsea. During his six-month loan at Leicester City, he netted three goals and provided two assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.
