Pablo Pagis and Lassine Sinayoko arrived this summer and form an enticing Paris FC partnership, still bedding in before Marseille on Sunday at 20:45.
According to Le Progres, the signings were meant to sharpen the attack, and their understanding remains a work in progress. Paris FC scored 47 goals last season, joint 10th in Ligue 1.
Pagis, 23, the technical link with 10 goals and five assists for Lorient last season, operates behind Sinayoko, 26, a 12-goal finisher for Auxerre in 2025-26. Ilan Kebbal offers extra menace, yet the main threat is expected to come from this axis.
Head coach Liam Rosenior rates Pagis highly and praises Sinayoko’s speed, technique and off-ball graft. Midfielder Maxime Lopez highlights Pagis’s craft in tight spaces and notes Sinayoko showed character by delivering late for Auxerre during their survival push.
Rosenior keeps stressing that cohesion takes time and that the team must find greater fluency. In the 3-0 win over Nice on matchday two, the duo troubled the defence, though the connection was not obvious.
The coach believes the signs are improving and that repetition in training will build their link. Sinayoko opened his Paris account with a penalty against Nice and his pressing hurt the defenders. Pagis has yet to score in the league after a bright pre-season, with Lopez confident it will come.
Marseille is billed as Paris FC’s first big test, and the forwards have another chance to show progress.
