Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday was their fourth in a row in all competitions, with the Blues currently sat sixth with just seven games remaining.
The run of form has raised serious doubts over the future of Rosenior, despite the club seemingly still backing him.
Confidence appears to be low amongst the squad, and recent performances suggest the players don’t believe in Rosenior or buy into his ideas.
The international break arguably comes at a good time and gives the opportunity for a mini reset before the final run to the end of the season.
Rosenior has come under heavy criticism following the recent run of form, and Burley believes he’s lost the dressing room.
“He seems to be forcing it,” he told ESPN.
“I’ve been in so many dressing rooms with changes of manager, if somebody comes in, not only by actions but by words. 25 people, experienced players, fraud is a strong word.
“But they will smell someone who is not ready, who shouldn’t be there. They will sniff that out in a heartbeat. I just feel, the weekend display backs this up – a lack of work rate, desire – players talk.
“A manager can easily be undermined, particularly in this day and age, players see everything. This is not going to have long legs, it’s actually got worse. It’s falling off a cliff.
“It’s ludicrous, I don’t know if he’s at this stage but it looks like it, it’s very difficult to get the players back onside.
“Once the changing room has made it’s mind up, it’s very difficult to drag it back.”
Despite mounting pressure and calls for him to be sacked, it appears Chelsea are still very much backing Rosenior.
It’s been reported Chelsea don’t plan to review Rosenior until the end of the next season, and only an implosion over the final weeks of the season would change their mind.

Missing out on Champions League football could be fatal for Rosenior, but the message coming out of the club suggests currently he’ll be in charge next season.
