Sheffield United are reportedly undecided on whether to sign Newcastle United loanee Ciaran Clark on a free transfer this summer, according to Chronicle Live.
Clark joined the Championship club on loan for 2022/23 and is expecting to be released by Newcastle at the end of the season.
The Blades are reportedly undecided over whether to sign him permanently at that point.

It’s probably worth a look at whatever division the Blades are in.
Clark hasn’t played that much this season, with Rhys Norrington-Davies and Jack Robinson having extended stints at left centre-back.
However, potentially stepping up into the Premier League - or alternatively kicking around in the Championship still - Clark’s experience could be important.
The fact he’s on a free is another reason Sheffield United should press ahead with a deal. There’s just very little risk involved minus Clark staying fit.
It won’t be the most eye-catching deal in the country, but it’s one that does make a lot of sense.

I'm not convinced Sheffield United should be signing Ciaran Clark permanently, to be honest.
The 33-year-old's loan spell has been underwhelming so far and the Blades would be better looking elsewhere for centre-back reinforcements.
Paul Heckingbottom's side are on course to return to the Premier League this term, which should give them some cash to spend.
They need to be signing a central defender that can improve their defence next season and for years to come, rather than going for Clark.
The Blades already have plenty of experienced options in the back three, I don't see a place for the Irishman moving forward.

This does feel like it could be one that is worth considering for Sheffield United.
The Blades may well need to add to their central defensive options in the summer window, with Jack Robinson out of contract, and Anel Ahhmedhodzic looking as though he could attract plenty of interest when the window opens.
A permanent deal for Clark could therefore be useful in adding to their depth in that position, and his experience in the Premier League would also be helpful, with Paul Heckingbottom's side looking well set for a return to the top-flight as things stand.
Given he is familiar with the club, Clark may be able to hit the ground running at Bramall Lane again, and the financial questions brought about by the embargo and takeover uncertainty hanging over the club means bringing in a free signing such as the centre back may be important, so you do feel Sheffield United should be looking into this.
