‘It’s sad’ – Thomas Tuchel criticises England fans after win over Wales | OneFootball

England boss Thomas Tuchel says he was disappointed with the atmosphere at Wembley in his side’s 3-0 win over Wales.

Goals from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka gave the Three Lions a comfortable win over their rivals.

But Tuchel says he was disappointed with the lack of atmosphere in the stadium given his side’s performance.

“The stadium was silent,” he told ITV.

“We didn’t get any energy back from the stands. I think the players delivered a lot, to get more from the fans so it was difficult to keep everything going in the second half.

“But we deserved to win. We did excellent, we deserved to win and it is the next step in the right direction.”

On whether he was disappointed with the lack of noise, he continued: “Yes. What more can you give in 20 minutes? Three goals and the way we attacked. We didn’t let them escape.

“If you hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it’s sad, because the team deserved big support today.”
