With the Premier League title race heating up, all eyes are on Stamford Bridge this Sunday as second-placed Chelsea prepare to host table-toppers Arsenal. Despite the mounting excitement, Blues’ boss Enzo Maresca is deliberately downplaying the championship narrative.
When probed about his team’s title aspirations at the pre-match press conference, Maresca insisted it was premature to join the conversation about the ultimate prize. Choosing to focus on the immediate challenge, he shifted the emphasis to the significance of the upcoming fixture.
"This is another big match," Maresca stated, reflecting on his team's recent form. "We managed to win against Barcelona, and that was pleasing. Will this match be even bigger than the one against Barça? I don’t know. For me, these matches are equally important. Of course, we want to win every single one; that would be fantastic."
The highly anticipated London derby is scheduled for Sunday, the 30th of November, with a 17:30 CET kick-off at Chelsea's home ground. The clash presents a crucial opportunity for the Blues to close the six-point gap, with Arsenal leading the pack at 29 points and Chelsea sitting closely behind on 23.
