Girona FC has reached an agreement with Iván Morante to become a new player for the Club. The footballer joins as a free agent and signs a contract for the next three seasons, committing until June 2029.

Born in León on January 15, 2001, Morante is a central midfielder with great ability to organize the game, good tactical awareness, and a strong presence in building play from the midfield. At twenty-five years old, he arrives at Montilivi after gaining experience and consistency in professional football.

Trained in the youth academies of CD Ejido de León and Villarreal, the player quickly stood out for his talent, which led him to join Real Madrid in 2020. With the Madrid team, he was part of a brilliant generation and played a key role in winning the UEFA Youth League, also participating in matches with the reserve team.

After his time at Real Madrid Castilla, Morante made the leap to professional football with UD Ibiza, where he played thirty-two matches in the Second Division. He was later loaned to Racing de Santander, making thirty-five appearances with the Cantabrian team, before signing with Burgos in the summer of 2024, where he played seventy-five matches.

Morante has also been an international with the Spanish U-20 national team.
