Ivan Toney is set to be recalled to the England squad for June’s fixtures with Andorra and Senegal.

The Al-Ahli forward has not been selected since Euro 2024 but is set to be rewarded after an impressive campaign in the Saudi Pro League. Toney has scored 29 goals in 43 games across all competitions since joining Al-Ahli from Brentford last summer.

Thomas Tuchel will name his England squad for next month’s games on Friday. England face Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on June 7th in Barcelona before hosting Senegal in a friendly fixture at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground three days later. The Athletic are reporting that Toney will be included.

Tuchel’s squad selection could be impacted by other commitments. This summer’s Club World Cup could complicate matters with players from Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid all featuring.

The u-21 European Championship also takes place next month, meaning players such Jarrad Branthwaite, Liam Delap and Adam Wharton could remain with the Young Lions for June’s games.
