Alex Iwobi has hailed Harry Wilson as a special player after the midfielder's latest goal for Fulham.
Wilson opened the scoring as Fulham beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Craven Cottage to boost their hopes of European football.
The Welshman has been in superb form this season, registering 16 goals and assists in thePremier League, but his Fulham future is uncertain as Wilson approaches the end of his contract.
Iwobi, who scored the second goal from a Wilson assist, outlined his desire for the latter to sign a new deal after hailing his teammate as a 'special' talent.
"H is a special player, when he has the ball we know he will create something or score," Iwobi said toSky Sports.
"We give him that trust and freedom to do as he pleases."
Fulham's win moves the West Londoners up to ninth and within three points of the European places.
Iwobi reflected on another London derby win for Marco Silva's side and said there's ambition to achieve a place in Europe for next season.
"Another London derby, a special moment when we play in front of our fans, we are grateful we were able to get that result today," he added.
"We feel we controlled the game and created a lot of opportunities to score, but if you don't take them it becomes shaky. Credit to us we were able to stay strong towards the end.
"We were ambitious from the start of the season, we need o stay consistent. We see quality in training every day, we need to bring that into matches. we need to stay mentally strong and keep together."
