Giacomo Raspadori’s future remains shrouded in uncertainty as the Italian international appears increasingly hesitant about a departure from Atletico Madrid. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, despite significant interest from Serie A, the striker is currently not convinced about leaving the Spanish capital during the January window.

Notably, Roma are the only club to have submitted a formal offer to Los Colchoneros thus far. However, a long list of suitors remains attentive to his situation, including Lazio, Napoli, Atalanta, and Turkish giants Galatasaray. Despite the mounting pressure from Italy to bring the former Sassuolo man back to the peninsula, the player is reportedly happy with his life in Madrid and his development under Diego Simeone.

Furthermore, the feeling is mutual within the club. “El Cholo” is said to be very satisfied with the progress Raspadori has made since his arrival, valuing his tactical flexibility and work ethic. While the Atletico hierarchy recently informed the player of Roma’s accepted bid—viewing it as a market opportunity—they are not forcing him out of the Metropolitano.

Consequently, the 25-year-old is taking his time to evaluate his options. With no immediate desire to pack his bags and the full backing of his manager, the chances of Raspadori staying in La Liga for the remainder of the 2026 campaign are growing, leaving his Italian suitors in a state of suspense.
