Jackson too expensive: Vlahovic remains an option at FC Bayern

FC Bayern have been repeatedly linked with the signing of Dusan Vlahovic in recent months. Although the Serbian goalscorer from Juventus Turin is not currently a hot topic at Säbener Straße, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, this could change again in the summer of 2026.

As Romano explained in his YouTube update, the German record champions contacted the striker’s management twice in October with the aim of finding out about the financial terms of a potential transfer.

However, there were no concrete talks or even an offer: „There were two calls, but no further contact since mid-October. Bayern just wanted to know what the situation looked like,“ said Romano.

The transfer insider thus confirmed the latest reports in the German media that Vlahovic is currently not a hot topic at Munich.

Contract with Juventus expires – many top clubs interested

The 25-year-old Serbian is only under contract with Juventus Turin until the summer of 2026 and, according to consistent media reports, an extension is off the table – the club and player are said to have stopped talks months ago.

This would mean that Vlahovic would be available on a free transfer in a few months – a scenario that is making numerous top European clubs sit up and take notice. In addition to Bayern, Newcastle United and FC Barcelona are also said to be keeping a close eye on the striker’s development.

Jackson’s future could be decisive

Whether Vlahovic actually becomes an issue in Munich again also depends on Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese striker is currently on loan from Chelsea FC, but has so far failed to make a lasting impression. As things stand, there is little to suggest that FCB will exercise the fixed purchase option of €65 million.

Should Bayern decide against a permanent deal for the 24-year-old, Vlahovic could once again come into focus, according to Romano.
