Benfica are weighing a move for Ipswich Town winger Jaden Philogene as they look to add a wide player this summer.

BBC reports that the England Under-21 international wants to take the next step and play for a club regularly involved in European competition, while Roma and Bologna are also monitoring him.

Philogene joined Ipswich in January 2025 from Aston Villa in a €23.5 million transfer.

He quickly became a key figure, scoring 13 goals in 36 matches last season as the club returned to the Premier League.

Overall, he has 16 goals in 47 appearances for the Tractor Boys. His pace, one-on-one threat and eye for goal appeal to teams seeking creativity and depth on the flank.

There are no official talks between Benfica and Ipswich at this stage, but the winger is well noted at the Estádio da Luz. Any move led by Rui Costa would have to overcome strong Italian competition for one of the Championship’s most valued players.
