Jadon Sancho has shared what Chelsea are working on in training to try and help Nicolas Jackson with the striker on a run of one goal in six games.

The Blues are currently on a four game winless streak following their 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday, but still sit fourth although the gap to Newcastle in fifth is just one point.

Perhaps more concerning for Chelsea is the goals have dried up and they’ve managed just two goals in their last four matches having scored 16 in the four prior.

The Blues were free scoring earlier in the season and at one stage were the top scorers in the league, with their attack billed as one of if not the best in the league.

However, things have changed recently and Chelsea have struggled to find the back of the net, although they aren’t struggling to create chances.

Jackson, who has started the season well and has nine league goals to his name was guilty of missing a couple of big chances against the Eagles, with Chelsea needing to find a way to get the Senegal international back amongst the goals.

Sancho, who provided a brilliant assist for Cole Palmer to score against Palace has shared what Chelsea are working on in training to help Jackson.

“We work on the training ground to give Nico, Cole, Pedro [Neto] and me the opportunities to get shots on goal,” he told Chelsea’s website.

“We created good chances, we just have to be more clinical. If you don’t take your chances in the Premier League, it’s never over until the last minute.”

Jackson will likely get back amongst the goals, with Thierry Henry believing he’s on his way to becoming the real deal.

However, the lack of a real alternative to the Senegalese is hurting Chelsea and they have been linked with a move for Liam Delap, whilst Christopher Nkunku is attracting interest from European clubs.
