Jaka Bijol had to wait for his chance at Leeds United, and he says Daniel Farke helped him through a difficult start. Leeds have gone a long way to shedding the old collapse jibe and secured Premier League safety with games to spare.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Farke bristled at suggestions Leeds crumble when pressure rises. He delivered 100 points and the Championship title last season despite doubts after a draw at Luton, then this term sealed safety early with an incredible run at the business end.

Leeds have often responded best when under stress, rallying from two goals down against Liverpool, coming from behind away to Spurs, and, most recently on Sunday, snatching a last-gasp winner while short of several key players.

Since arriving in summer 2025, Bijol said he never felt the team would fall apart. He accepted there were a few tougher weeks, but pointed to resilience, a strong Elland Road record that can feel near-unbeatable, and an upturn away late on.

He described an initially frustrating integration, stressing the need to learn the manager’s demands and persist. When Farke switched to a back three he seized the opening and became a key performer, and he said he thinks the coach led the way even if everyone contributed, the table showing as much.
