Porto have completed the signing of Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal after a successful loan spell.

The Polish international joined the club last summer and has helped Porto reclaim the Portuguese title with two games to spare. Kiwior has also been part of a solid backline that has conceded just 15 goals in 32 games so far this season, seven fewer than the nearest team (Benfica, 22 goals conceded.)

Porto have now confirmed they have exercised the purchase option for the player that sees him join for an initial €17 million (just over £14.66m), a fee that could raise by a further €5 million depending on targets.

Arsenal could also receive a future €2 million from a future transfer fee should Kiwior be sold.

The defender has signed a four-year contract with Francesco Farioli's side which includes a €70 million release clause.
