Not only does Guadalajara belong to Guadalajara. Jalisco and Chivas share a deep pride in their identity and Mexican heritage, and this weekend will once again prove the social phenomenon that the Rebaño Sagrado represents for our state, which is undoubtedly red and white. This Friday, the curtain rises in Los Altos de Jalisco, as Tapatío — the highest representative of the Rojiblanca youth academy and the main showcase of our institution’s developmental work — takes the field at the Gregorio “Tepa” Gómez Stadium at 5:00 p.m. for its first home match in Alteño territory, hosting Venados de Mérida on Matchday 2 of the Clausura 2026 Liga de Expansión.On Saturday at 5:00 p.m., Rojiblanca passion will converge at Estadio AKRON, where Guadalajara will play its third match in just eight days, welcoming Querétaro. A venue known for beating to the rhythm of its fans, it will once again play a vital role as the team looks to secure a third consecutive victory and remain the only side yet to concede a goal this semester. And on Sunday morning, the Rojiblanca flag will be raised in the historic heart of football in Guadalajara, as Estadio Jalisco dresses up to host the match between Chivas Femenil and Santos. Led by Antonio Contreras, the team remains unbeaten so far this tournament and on Matchday 3 will look to claim three points that would place them among the top spots in the standings.Three teams. Three matches. Three different venues. One badge and one state, beating in red and white. Chivas, the great pride of Jalisco, will show that its impact goes beyond results: it is identity, a sense of belonging, and Mexican pride shared from north to south across the state.
